Saudi Future Workspace Summit & Awards held successfully

The Saudi edition of the virtual Future Workspace Awards & Summit was held successfully recently with some riveting discussions between IT experts from the Kingdom as well as keynote addresses, followed by a virtual awards handover.

The event was organized by Leap media Solutions, publisher of CXO DX, a leading information portal and magazine focusing the CXO community in the region. The Gold sponsors of the event were Veeam, Redington and Sophos.

The panel discussion on ‘Workspace Transformation – Best Practices and Challenges’ examined how workspace transformation is being reimagined and work from anywhere is comfortably enabled by various collaboration technologies. The panelists highlighted the convenience of remote working thanks to the new digital technologies rolled out while also pointing out that cybersecurity challenges remain a top concern.

The panel discussion on the changing approaches to cybersecurity besides providing an overview of the cybersecurity threat landscape, looked at how organizations have been responding in terms of investments in new solutions. The discussion also brought up interesting insights into how the CISO’s role is becoming a more challenging one by the day and how managed security services is also being looked at as a feasible option, on a case by case basis.

Among the keynotes, Ajay Nawani, Director Sales Engineering, MEA, Sophos, Claude Schuck spoke about , Regional Sales Director Middle East and Dr. Jassim Haji, President International Group of Artificial Intelligence

Awards were presented to people who have been in CISO and CIO or related roles helping drive the transformation objectives at their organizations over the recent past. There were also a couple of Workspace transformation awards given away.
